Quorum Request Target Changed
URI: https://docs.ankatech.co/errors/quorum-target-changed
HTTP Status: 409 Conflict
When you see this
An approved quorum request was executed, and its target was no longer the one the approvers approved: the key's current version moved (a rotation in between), or the key was destroyed and re-created under the same name. The request ends FAILED with this type as its failureType; nothing was changed. You meet it in a request's failureType, not as a response to your own call.
Quorum (M-of-N) approval is described in Quorum Approval*.
Common Causes
- The key was rotated after the request was made.
- The key was destroyed and a new key was created under the same name.

How to Resolve
- Review the target as it is now, and request the operation again if it is still wanted; the approvers decide the new request.
