Requester Cannot Decide Own Request

URI: https://docs.ankatech.co/errors/quorum-self-approval-forbidden
HTTP Status: 403 Forbidden

When you see this

The requester of a quorum request tried to approve or reject it. Two-person control means another eligible approver decides. The comparison is like with like: a workload identity that requested is not a person, so a person is never refused as its requester.

Quorum (M-of-N) approval is described in Quorum Approval*.

Common Causes

  • You asked for the change and then opened the request in the approvals inbox.
  • An automation acting with your credential approved your own request.

How to Resolve

  1. Ask another eligible approver to decide the request.
  2. To withdraw it instead, cancel it (cancelTenantQuorumRequest); only the requester can.
