Keystore Generation Error

When you see this

An error occurred while generating or managing cryptographic keystores. This indicates a server-side issue with keystore creation or manipulation.

Common Causes

  • Insufficient server resources to generate cryptographic keys.
  • File system permissions preventing keystore creation or access.
  • Invalid keystore configuration or parameters.
  • Corrupted keystore file or incompatible format.
  • Cryptographic provider initialization failure.
  • Hardware Security Module (HSM) communication issues if configured.

How to Resolve

  1. Retry the operation after a brief delay - the issue may be temporary.
  2. If creating a new keystore, verify all required parameters are valid.
  3. Check that the keystore type and algorithm are supported.
  4. For persistent errors, contact your administrator to check server logs.
  5. Ensure the server has sufficient entropy for key generation.
