When you see this

The current rotation of the key-state seal key was read, but no rotation has ever been started on this deployment.

Returned by GET /api/v3/admin/platform/key-state-seal-keys/rotations/current (getCurrentKeyStateSealKeyRotation).

Common Causes

  • The seal key has not been rotated since the deployment was installed.

How to Resolve

No action is needed. Read listKeyStateSealKeys (GET /api/v3/admin/platform/key-state-seal-keys) for the generations the deployment holds, and start a rotation with rotateKeyStateSealKey when one is due.
