Platform Support Access
What this screen is for
Support access is a tenant's bounded authorisation for the operator of an ANKA-hosted deployment to enter it. This screen is the platform side of that arrangement — under the title Support Access, which tenants have authorised and until when — and it is not offered on a customer-operated install. This page is short for that reason.
On your install the platform administrator is your own organisation's engineer and enters a tenant under their own roles and audit trail, with no authorisation from the tenant involved and none required. The sidebar has no entry for this screen here.
What must exist first
Nothing, because there is nothing to do here on a customer-operated install. If the screen is reached by its address it states one of two things:
- Support access is not used on this deployment: your session says the platform is operated by your own organisation, so the screen asserts that no tenant authorisation governs entry and offers no list.
- We could not determine whether support access applies here: your session does not say how the platform is operated, so the screen states nothing in either direction. Sign in again; if it persists, the deployment's configuration needs checking.
Neither state issues a request or reads a grant. The permission the screen would need on an ANKA-hosted deployment — reading support-access grants, held by the platform super administrator, operator, auditor and viewer roles — changes nothing on yours. That permission answers who may read a grant; which platform roles a live grant admits into a tenant is a different question, and the tenant's own support-access screen answers it.
Decisions you make here
None on a customer-operated install
The list of authorising tenants, their windows and whether a session is open exist only on an ANKA-hosted deployment and are not offered here. The screen carries no control in either of the states above.
How it relates to other screens
Entering a tenant on your install is done from the tenants screen, with the tenant role that mirrors your platform role. If you last confirmed your identity more than a few minutes ago, the console first asks you to confirm it with your passkey or the identity provider approved for platform sign-in; a password never suffices:
Each tenant's own Support Access screen tells its administrator the same thing from the other side — that on a customer-operated deployment no authorisation is involved — and hides its sidebar entry:
